Ok this is my Vent for the Day ~ It is pretty funny though! Macaw_Lover:
Ok so today at work, a co-worker of mine saw a guy park his car, throw trash out his window and get out of his car and walk away. So I wanted to see what it was. Walked out and it was a banana peel. So I picked it up and was going to throw it away....instead after I picked it up I decided to put it under his windsheild wiper to send him a bit of a message......hopefully!
The car was sitting there for hours, so he must be affiliated with one of the businesses next door, but yet I have never seen him nor the car. We didn't see him leave and well thats to bad, I wanted to see what he would do. So I said Hmm wonder if he threw it back on the ground again? My manager said, go out and see. So I did and no banana peel.
Now I know what some of you are probably thinking that banana peels are "technically bio degradeable", but I do think there is a better place to throw your banana peel than in the nice cleaned up area of a business complex! JUST my opinion. I highly doubt the guy was thinking "hmmmm this is bio-degradeable so I will throw it out", no he was a lazy ass person who couldn't just bring it into the store and throw it OR keep it in his car and throw it away at home or hell if he was thinking "bio-degradeable" throw it in HIS backyard to look at.
I mean ok, i'm not a tree huggin environmentalist, but maybe if people would litter less in this world I mean just small things such as cig butts(ok ok so I used to be guilty of it when I was young, but my brother called me out on and it I NEVER do it anymore)so hey maybe this guy won't now in the future! Guess I will never know!
Poll:
1: That's Hilarious! I wish I would have thought of that! :)
2: Hmmm, I don't know because techincally it is "bio-degradeable" you can throw that any ol' place.
3: I think that was rude and you shouldn't have lifted his wiper blade to put it there.
4: Wow, i'm going to do that sometime if I ever see one throw trash out because they seem to be to lazy to throw it in the proper place.
Anyways, thought I would share my laughter for the day :)
Re: Ok this is my Vent for the Day ~ It is pretty funny though! sheydp: Actually - it ISN'T biodegradeable... not where we live. Stuff that won't grow there, generally won't bio-degrade there - there aren't the organisms in the soil needed to break it down. It will shrivel, but not be eaten.
So... I agree - that IS funny - and YAY FOR YOU!!!
(now - am I terrible that I throw apple cores into the side of the road? They DO biodegrade, and I don't want them filling a landfill!)
Shey
Re: Ok this is my Vent for the Day ~ It is pretty funny though! Macaw_Lover: Oh it's not bio-degradeable? Some girl at work thought that all fruits and veggies were.....but yet technically she felt that one shouldn't just throw that any ol' place. So no girl you aren't terrible, just common sense on wear it should be thrown is all I think.
Re: Ok this is my Vent for the Day ~ It is pretty funny though! Macaw_Lover: You are Right girl, just found this article which seems to be true?

Along with this quote that I myself believe in.
Littering is littering and the sign of a slob. You wouldn't dirty your house by throwing the peel on the floor so why dirty the environment? I always throw trash, fruit peels, etc. in the garbage.
Re: Ok this is my Vent for the Day ~ It is pretty funny though! PickingUpThePieces: This reminds me of a time in college when I pulled something similar to what you did Macaw...
There was a girl, C, pretty spoiled (i.e. would call daddy demanding more monthly allowance because she didn't have any money to buy cigarettes). Well, there were no open dryers and she wanted to dry her clothes immediately, so she took another girl's wet clothes out and put her clothes in that dryer. When she left the area, I took hers out and put the girl's back in.
She was pretty p.o.ed about it later but I figured she deserved it!
So good for you!
