If your always looking for them to make up for what they have done and always looking for them to try harder then it will never be a relationship. It will be one paying a debt to another. Realtionships should be about accepting the other for who they are now and not what has happened in the past. And I know its hard as hell to do since you gave your life to that person and they threw it away. But in order to move forward sometimes you must forgive the past. Just my .02

I don't want to cause waves, but is this really worth it for you? Taking someone back might not be the best answer, no matter how much you love her. There might just be too much damage to repair, and we all know that you can't forget the past. "Some things you can't erase, no matter how hard you try." I'm not telling you to give up, I'm just asking you to evaluate if this is really worth the pain you feel.
I'd hug you if I were with you, but you're in my thoughts.

I agree with Kermie. In order for this to work you've gotta hit the reset button. It's a fresh start or no start. I think that's one of the biggest reasons that I could never go there. I'd always feel like the scale needed to be balanced.
Re: I've Never Been A Quiter yella: How many people can actually hit that reset button? How many people can look that person in the eye and forget all of the pain that you were put through? I know that I'm not able to, but Spike, you know you have my full support on anything you want to do with this.
You're a great man, and I give you all of the credit in the world for doing this. Just don't forget who you are and what YOU want. But at the same time, don't expect her to always pay for what she did.
But this is something you already know.
