The Stages of Divorce.. in_search_of: We studied this in my family law class and the few of us who were divorced and the people who knew what was going on in our lives about lost it right there in class...my law prof would have thought we had lost it if all the snickering had turned into laughter!

5. Physical Separation
6. Mourning
7. Second Adolesence (The post divorce hooker stage!)
8. Hardwork and Resolution

Re:The Stages of Divorce.. ostia: Well, for me stage 7 was cut a bit short, because I happened to meet and get involved with someone I really liked about 5 months after my X and I split up.
I was a complete basket case for the first several months after the breakup. But once I started to feel better, I found myself having this wonderful sense of dawning possibilities and freedom. I felt free and playful in a way that I hadn't since I was a teenager. So the second adolescence thing wasn't just about just about sex for me, although I did date a few people briefly during that time and have a fairly intense ongoing e-mail flirtation with an old friend.
