Anyone care for an update? brokenbaby: Hey all! Someone wonderful sponsored me for premium! YAY!
I have my first hearing on July 6. This is the hearing in which the court says, "okay, are the two of you going to cooperate and sign this agreement or not?" It lasts half an hour. IF things go well my final hearing is August 1. Done. IF not, I'm prepared to play as hard as he wants to get this settled and done with. ;D
I am six and a half months into this process and the time feels like it has gone on forever and flown by all at the same time.
When I look forward now, I see smiles and happines and peace. I no longer hate being alone, I actually enjoy being by myself. I've decided I kinda like myself even :P The bad days are shorter and the good days are longer.
No job yet, I am battling the beast of small town politics and rumors to find one. My stbxh and his mom who works at the largest automobile dealership in this stupid little area are having a gay ole time spreading rumors about me to anyone who will listen about my work ethics, and well any kind of ethics you could think of....fun schtuff. But hey, someone will decide to take a chance on me sooner or later.
In the long term I am fixing up this house and getting the hell out of dodge. Moving south I hope. Out of this crappy little town to someplace that bears some resemblance to civilization. ::)
Life isn't great but it isn't bad either. I can say this for sure. I would not have changed any of it. Bad or worse. I wouldn't be here right now had it been different. And most days, I'm liking where I am.
