Working things out lostindoubt: Do you think that after being separated for 7 months things can just fall back into place without any sort of action plan? That time could just fix things even if you are not putting effort into the relationship?

I spose it depends on what the problems were that broke you up in the first place. I wouldn't think that those issues would just "fix themselves". More likely that they get swept under the rug.

it can't unless 2 people want it to work... If you are putting in all the effort than what about the effort toward you... :-X
If it's the one who left that is doing their best to change themselves and I know people don't change but maybe better their issues and that will help your situation get better than their is hope. But really if the realtionship is one sided, then I beleive you would be doing everything possible to please the other person while forgetting about you and what you want from the relationship! What about what you want and them pleasing you... It's about regaining that trust back! ???
You don't want to feel that you may happen to do the wrong thing and
them be out the door again, would you? You'd be walking on pins and needles.
It takes two to be in a relationship, therefore both to make it work!

Re: Working things out MikeB: I'm with Lumpy on that one... A second chance is a great thing (I still hope for it) - but IMO it takes effort to make it work....
Most importantly -again IMO- is that seeing it as continuing the old relationship makes it more likely for the old problems to reappear...
Problems between people -especially between people in love- rarely (if ever) just fix themselves... talk about these problems and find ways to work 'em out...
