Dating "rules".... twetifb: for when dating multiple people??
The guy I’m seeing and I set some rules for dating other people last night and I was wondering what your rules would be or have been if you were in a similar situation. Any ideas?

I'm seeing other people as well as you and I can't be exclusive. What you do is your business.

Chris: i don't know if it would work if you set up "rules". i'd imagine that by dating other people, yall are filling a void in yall's dating relationship. if that's the case, then maybe limit the "dating other people" to only get what you're missing. but i think, like was said in your other thread, that there are two outcomes and if there are rules, then you will be limiting the possibilities.....if that's what you want.

Hmmm...I never thought of it that way. For me, honesty is the most important thing in a relationship whether it's casual or serious. If he’s dating someone else, I want to know about it. I don’t want details but I want to know because I’d rather he say, “Sorry Tiff, I can’t go out tomorrow night because I have a date.” Rather than, “Sorry, I have other plans.” I don’t know…maybe it’s because we’ve already been together 3 months and neither of us has dated anyone else so I feel like we’re back tracking? I'm not sure, I think I'd want to know from anyone I date. I think it's out of respect for the other person and then there's less chance of drama and surprises. Plus, I want to be open and honest with the people I date. Maybe I am just one of those people who talks way too much! ;D
There's also the whole intimacy issue too...I do not want to be sleeping with a guy who's sleeping with other women whether I know about them or not. I am also the type of woman who will not sleep with two people (separately) within a certain time frame. See...this is why we set up the rules!!
