Powdah Room 6/13 yella: Today's Question: Ladies

Do you read any of Danielle Steel's novels, and if so, what's your take?

Too sappy? Not sappy enough? Do you find that they can actually help you sometimes, or push you back?

I read one, "The House on Hope St" I think? I liked that, but the more I read the other books, the more they looked alike, and the more sappy they became, so I stopped.
Re: Powdah Room 6/13 brokenbaby: Never read them.  They all seem to be the same plot when I read the excerpts so I just haven't bothered.

Re: Powdah Room 6/13 trapped: never read em.

I take that back..I think she wrote "Message from Nam", no? I read that many, many years ago. It was ok. A little sappy for  my taste.

Re: Powdah Room 6/13 twetifb: I've read all of Danielle Steel's novels.  Some are a little sappy but I enjoy the way she writes and describes the different cities.  I also love her novels that are set in the past because they seem almost like a history lesson.  I swear I've learned more history from her than from the classes I've taken.  She does a lot of research on her period pieces and it's all accurate but mixed with fiction for a good story.
Re: Powdah Room 6/13 overwhelmed: I read them when I need a "brainless read" :P
They are pretty much all the same stories, but sometimes it's good to now what the out come will be. ;)
