Re: Do children heal? Lumpy: I'm in the same camp as Shey. I was about 14 when my parents split and it was a relief. They were both miserable. It's certainly going to be harder for your son seeing that he's younger, but he will heal. It's like any other trauma. He will get better, but he'll probably always remember that pain. His father can go a long way towards speeding up that healing. I hope he's devoting enough time and energy into him.
