Yeah, I'm in the process now, for reasons I have expressed in another current thread. It's just easier for me right now, but I am getting tired of it. I am (and I hate the labeling thing at this stage...but here goes) 'seeing' (I think) someone. Went out 4x, will most likely see him tonight. Honestly, if this doesn't work out, I am really gonna lay low for a while. I went into this like gangbusters.
This guys seems okay, but I think there is smething missing. But I gotta give it a chance.

I haven't really done the online dating thing, but am in a similar situation with kids at home and a full time job and busy family. Not in CT though :)
I have a lot of people telling me that online is the new dating scene but.... I am skeptical - not cynical skeptical.....
Luckily I have met some really great people here.
You all can let me know how the 4th and final time goes. I think I am waiting for others to test the whole scene for me :)

Patience, a virtue I still have to acquire. But yes, the time will come when you'll meet the person you're supposed to be with, for a while or forever. In the mean time, try to stay away from those who don't know what they want. It's a perfect recipe for disappointment.

NO DATE: oh the disappointment factor is huge on dating sites and dating in general but esp. online! all of the players, attention mongers, jerks, no shows, liars, but it's really just a sped up version of real life, it just seems like there are more of these types online when in fact the ratio is about the same! it's just way faster [a plus as far as i'm concerned"> and rejection/disappointment? I'm here to tell you I have developed quite the thick skin recently! uh.? is that good? I say take a break for a while and then hit it when you're ready again..
