My 1st 'Open Mic' performance!!! LoveFool: Well, last night I finally built up enough courage to sing/play a song my best friend and I wrote while I was visiting him in Colombia. I began taking guitar lessons in mid-December soon after my STBX dropped the bomb on me. To say that playing music has been very therapuetic for me, is an understatement. There have been so many times I have felt like I was just going to lose it, but I would pick up that guitar and just play from the heart and for some reason I would feel peaceful again.
So at this 'open mic night' I performed in front of an audience for the first time in my life. To be honest I dont know how to sing, but I didnt care. I had promised myself that I would perform that song one day, and I did. It wasnt a complete disaster, since people didnt throw vegetables at me nor booed ;). I think I actually did ok ;D.
