Good Date! in_search_of: I have to say, since the D over a year ago, I have been on lots of dates, but very few good ones! And I went on a wonderful date!
He is a couple of years older than me, close to his family, a nice guy, intelligent, cute, fun, funny, you name it. It was great! Came about oddly but it was great!
I met him online, through a dating site, we started emailing, finally exchanged phone numbers, and when I got home from work tonight I was starving, and since we had never really talked about going out, I decided that I would call him and see if he wanted to go. So I did...amazing the rejection that you can handle after the big D. Not that I thought he would say no. Well, when we finally started talking on the phone we would talk for 2+ hours at a time, so going out tonight didn't really seem like a first date, just like a date, like we already knew each other...because well, we did already know each other...kinda...it was great!
All I can say is that it was fun, and I hope to see him again, he took the onus on himself and said that he would call me. So hopefully he will...we didn't make plans, but we did talke for a while and talked about movies and stuff, and we there was one that we both wanted to see, and we talked about renting it and watching it, so perhaps...
It was great, comfortable, didn't feel like I was at a job interview like I have on other dates, and I didn't feel like I was dumbing myself down, or that I had to be someone else, and cater to him. He managed to deal with the fact that I was giving him grief, and gave it right back. It was wonderous!
