Good times WhiskeyGirl: I just had the bestest weekend ever!
Okay so new guy and I went to a Canada day thing at one of the neighboring ranches around his place, also a mutual friend of us both and it was sooooooo cool!! LMAO
Seriously, I’m sure this is going to sound like we’ve all lost our minds but it was way too much fun. :)
First off….the squirrel races, yeah, you heard me right….”squirrel” races. They actually catch live squirrels and have a squirrel race track, posted odds, graphs, the works. Hilarious! Yes, there was plenty of alcohol at this function ::) (No squirrels were harmed during the festivities) I won 80 bucks. :P LOL
Secondly, Cowboy polo, I’m sure ya’ll have seen polo before? Well, picture, if you will, about 40 of us in a arena, on horses, holding brooms with the bottom taped up with duct tape……running around wacking beach balls around trying to get it between the other teams goal posts. Yes, “Cowboy” polo….MUCH more fun than regular polo….trust me! 8)
Then they had a big dinner and dance, in a huge old shop they renovated as an old saloon, complete with full bar, stage, and sound system. Very cool, I danced my a$$ off. ;D
Anyway, I missed the next day which is too bad because they had a pancake breakfast and then set up a course through the bush where you had to run through on a horse with a little 22 pistol loaded with target ammo (colored powder pellets) and have to hit all the targets on your way through. Now that would have been fun! But I had plans to go camping for the night already…took the kids up to nevertouch the next day for the night with some friends, just got back, it was great!

sat, we sat by my parents pool for the afternoon. then myself and two friends bbq'ed, drank played games, laughed a lot. we finally ended up going to a club, which was an adventure itself.
the rest of the weekend was devoted to spending most of my money on buying new furniture and accessories for my new apartment, and spending time with my parents, because they are a little blue about me moving again.
overall, a pretty good weekend, and start to my holidays.
tomorrow, though, i have my first meeting with my surgeon (for those that remember, i tore my ACL for my knee a while back). it's my first visit with him, and i may find out when my surgery will be. a little nervous about starting my summer out like that. oh well, will have to wait and see.
