tattoo Deadfish: I think I'm gonna go get a tattoo on my arm. I've always wanted this one and I never had the incentive to get one, but now I'm divorced and I have an excuse!

It's called a Labarum, which is the first two letters of CHRIST in Greek (chi and rho). It's the symbol Constantine made his soldiers put on their shields because God said it would bring them victory if they did. Maybe it'll bring ME victory too, or at least it'll make good conversation-starters...
Re: tattoo just_me_detroit: I like it. I've been trying to figure what I am going to get. Is there any good places to find ideas?

Re: tattoo anewday: That's a nice idea for a tatoo. I have been thinking of getting one recently too.  Haven't decided on a final idea though.  I am sure you would start some conversations with that one!
Re: tattoo LostTeacher: i've gotten two in the last year.
one was a combo of my birth signs.  i am right in the middle of two, so sometimes i am one, sometimes i am the other.
the second is old japanese for "to teach".  it is larger than the first, and totally beautiful.
i got one at the start of my school year, and at the end.  like a milestone of being in this career, this life, for the first time by myself.
well worth it.
probably would never have gotten one if i had stayed with the ex.

Re: tattoo littlelinsmiles: I like that!  I think it is an excellent idea!

I am getting a butterfly as a symbol of my new life and freedom.  While I was married to putz I got a little devil that was happy and wearing a cute little diaper.  I had them take the pitchfork out and give him a thumbs up.  I tell people it is the happy little devil that escaped from hell :)  Which is me now!  It only took me 3 1/2 years to get it done!
