I agree, this is exactly it. I just cant seem to shake the feeling when I am around her. Its one of the reasons we dont talk on the phone very often. When we are not out, I try to keep my distance so that I dont appear too needy. I send her a text on the day after she plays softball to see how the game was, I call to chat and ask her to a movie or dinner, but thats about it.
Re: How to calm nerves shockedandamazed: chaotic - I recently met someone as well and we went out on our first date earlier this week - he was very nervous and did alright considering it was a first date AND he is younger than me. Toward the end of dinner, I point blank asked him if he was nervous about the date and he told me he was and I assured him again that the date was going well and that he did a great job of planning. I told him to relax.
Our second date is tomorrow and I hope to god he relaxes some more. He has had no problem going in for kisses, but I'm sorry, but the man has to be the aggressor at times. I am into this guy, but if he continues to be nervous around me it will freak me out and I can't spend another relationship trying to assure the guy that everything is OK (this is how my marriage was).
Relax chaotic, she is just a human being too. She is not perfect.

a man has to be confident and shouldn't hesitate ;D agressiveness can be bad although women like it too, i'd say confidence is good
