Just ask her if she wants to go out sometime and talk about stuff, not a date, just as friends. [/quote">

no woman believes that line.

LOL Yeah, that seems like an idea, and can be even true. There's just enough instances where it isn't true that I doubt any realistic lady would buy it. Sorry the girl you mentioned moved on you deadfish, that sucks. I suppose since Ill be in town again at the end of next week I could try again. If she still isn't there I've still got an opportunity to catch up with the other people I got along with and missed the first time through.
Re: At least I tried... spooky: Well I did go back last night, parent's microwave/arc welder needed replacement and were going to out to eat as well anyway, so I decided it would be a good excuse to be there. Initially she seemed too busy and not really wanting to chat, but I caught up with her later (we'd actually left and I decided doing that was getting me nothing anyway so I went back just to find her) and told her basically "I don't know if you remember or not, but I was married when I was here before and that's since crumbled. So I was wondering if you'd want to meet at Marble Slab or Cold Stone Creamery sometime." She paused very breifly and said "well we could hang out, but I have a boyfriend". I replied that I didn't want to intrude on that but remembered her being very sweet and she's cute so I wanted to ask. Wished her the best and left. I could have gone ahead and tried to be friends, but I knew why I wanted to get to know her and I didn't want to wind up really liking her while she stays with her boyfirend. Had enough of wanting someone I can't have. I guess that even though I didn't get anywhere with her, it was a little more progress because I took the step (with an audience too :o). I aslo suppose I should take it as a good sign she didn't cringe and say "NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" ;D

Re: At least I tried... Deadfish: Ouch, she has a boyfriend? Lame.
Re: At least I tried... JNA: So whats to say the new beau will not "fail"...

If you truly like her and can remain "Strong"

Stay in contact with her every now and then...

When he fails...Which he may very well

Then you will be first in line...

She did not say No or I don't think of you that way types of things

Up to you dude...

JNA

If you like her then be there to catch her when she falls...................... ;)

Re: At least I tried... spooky: Thanks guys, but with all the drama and pain of the last 3 years, I really just don't want to risk that all not happening and finding myself aching and hurting yet again. Beside, I possibly can stop by the place again in a few months and see how things are going then.
