Re: What the ... genesplicer: [quote"> “Today’s choose-to-be singles differ from the poor-me singles of past generations; there’s less of a stigma attached to being single, ”[/quote">

Hmm, does this disqualify us since it's not really a choice that most of us made?
Re: What the ... twine: jeez singles have sex 49 times a year, wow over half the year gone......i got some ground to make up
Re: What the ... trapped: Attention, unmarried people of America: You can splurge on a fancy new wristwatch without having to explain yourself. You can stay out till 3 a.m. without having to phone home. You can leave the toilet seat up. In fact, there are many, many ways that single life rocks......

And all of this is supposedly more appealing HOW?!  I'd rather have a family than a shopping spree.  I'd rather be home with the one I love as opposed to being out til 3 am.  I could give a sh*t if the toilet seat is up or down (haha no pun intended).

I cant relate to this article at all.  I guess its b/c like GS said....being single again wasnt a choice I made.  Its a nightmare, not a joyous relief.

I know, I know...make lemonade.

*sigh*

ETA-  Reason #8: You have better friendships. ...Oh, and this is laughable (at least for me).
