Re: fishing in your own pond Deadfish: Ouch, so there are good stories and bad.. hmmmm...
Re: fishing in your own pond twetifb: Deadfish~  I'm in a similar situation as you.  There's a guy at work that I like and I'm pretty sure the feeling's mutal after yesterday but I'm not sure if I want to go there with someone I work closely with.  We have a date planned for a concert in August and until then, we'll just keep flirting and enjoying each other's company.  I really love my job so if things progress, we'll definitely have to discuss what happens if/when things end because I would not want to be put in the situation where I felt I had to leave the company or transfer offices.  Then again, I stay friends with all my exes so it might not be that big of deal at all.

Re: fishing in your own pond 2be: I think it CAN work but both parties have to be honest up front and hopefully remain mature if things don't work out.  There is a young woman here at work where there has been some mutual flirting but I dont' think I'll ever pursue it just because our company is so small (17 people total.)
Re: fishing in your own pond icwtsmnl: maturity after a breakup is one thing.  heartache regardless is another.
