Yay!  I was almost scared to see what you posted.  I didn't want you to call blasphemy on my comment about not seeing the Yankees play....but you know I would NEVER say it if there were any other options, right?   ;)

Fridays suck for dealing with this crap.  It seems EVERYONE left work early today.  So I'm stuck with no gas until sometime next week.   :'(

I had thought about the blasphemy thing, but I know your options were limited.  But damn, sorry this is happening to you!

It does seem as though everyone leaves early on Fridays...
Re: I am going to scream!!! genesplicer: Holy bad way to end your week SNB!

Sorry to hear that you're going through contractor hell.  Always sucks when noone is really willing to admit that they might have made a mistake and just fix it for you.  Because gas really isn't all that important, right. ::)

Hope you get some good news this weekend.

Re: I am going to scream!!! 2be: Ah SNB... that REALLY sucks.  But you know what? You're getting a vERY dangerous problem fixed.  Leaking gas lines are  serious.  I know it is incredibly inconvenient but at least your house will be safe.

About TWO YEARS after my parents had their house built, they, along with my younger sister, were cleaning out the basement so they could store some stuff down there. Now this is not a regular basement... basically just a small area where you could barely stand, with the natural Earth as a floor.  They were cleaning out all of the rocks the contractor had thrown in there, and I was in the 2nd floor bathroom taking a shower.

Mom looks over at the far wall and sees water running out of an open pipe.... the pipe that came from the 2nd floor shower!  For TWO YEARS dirty shower water just drained into the  basement.  Luckily they were down there or we never would've known.

Contacted the contractor (who had subsequently gone out of business) and he sent one of his old plumbers out to fix it.  Can you believe that??
Re: I am going to scream!!! alonewith2: I know, 2Be.  The poor guy they sent out here must've been able to tell that this wasn't the news I really wanted to hear.  He kept saying, "I'm sorry to have to tell you this....really I am, but...."  I just kept saying, "It's okay, you are just doing your job.  Besides, I really don't want my house to explode one day..."  ;)

It's just frustrating that it has to happen on a Friday when NOTHING can be done about it for a few days!
Re: I am going to scream!!! 2be: I understand.  (((( hugs ))))  Just spend some time with your bunny.
