Re: Just Found..... trapped: Wow LT. Im impressed with your ability to do that. I have so many mementos, photos, letters and other keepsakes that I covet and place a great deal of importance on. Theyre all put away except for one photo of us that I have out, but not in a place where I can see it regularly. I feel like my inability to part with these items is a detriment...that it is another glaring red flag that I cant let go (see my "it doesnt matter" thread ;)) but I just cant part with this stuff the way you did. Im envious in a way but also glad for you that you were able to do that. I hope to be there one day.
It was strange finding this batch of photos that Ive never seen. It reminded me of a day I hadnt thought about in a while but in many ways I felt like I was looking at someone else's life.

I dont blame you at all. If I hadnt moved and have no choice but to go through it I would avoid seeing this stuff as well. Its painful.

Re: Just Found..... yella: I give credit to anyone who keeps things like this. When I break up with someone, I destroy every last memory I have of them. I want to make sure I banish and close each and every window, so as never to go back in time.
Although it's tough for a lot of people to do, and I never used to be like this before my marriage ended, but it always seems to be for the best somehow. :-\
Re: Just Found..... snkpack: Trapped, how can you miss something you haven't lost. You haven't lost your life, its just changed into something else. You could view this as a great opportunity to make it into something you love or sit around missing what you left behind. You're a great person. I love your posts and you make me laugh so much, but it kills me to see you pining for someone who doesn't return the feeling. You've got to find a way to get past it Trapped or it will burden you for the rest of your life and ruin any chance of future happiness with someone else. Do you really want that for yourself?
