Regrets? Dana: I know those of us with children don't regret being with our ex's because we have the best joy from it. I'm sure those of you who don't have children don't regret your relationships for whatever reason also.
I was wondering though if any of you regret something from that past.? For me, it was standing by him through so much. Maybe if I would have stood my ground the first time I felt wronged, I wouldn't be in this mess now.

Re: Regrets? Fjord Girl: I regret losing myself in the marriage and giving him so much place in my life I simply forgot about mine. I regret allowing him to take control of the situation. I regret wasting a lot of time thinking I wasn't good enough to go out and conquer my little corner of the world even if I was in a relationship. I regret the things I didn't do when I was with him.
But I don't regret having loved him the way I did.

Mistakes were made that I can never take back, and choices were made that I can never undo. Unfortunately, it's part of my life and what I have to deal with. Like it or not. :-\
I've hated myself for these regrets for a while now, and will for quite some time. I just try to take something that I can learn from it to prevent the same stupid mistakes again. One of them I've learned never to so again, the other, I'm still learning how to avoid it. :-\
Just the hand I was dealt with, I guess.
Re: Regrets? momuv3: I regret not seeing and acting on the clear red flags I had before we got married. I knew he popped alot of prescription pills and had an addiction, but I thought after we were married I could fix him. Nope, the addiction is like a mistress in your bedroom.
