I'm sorry for your heartache Gatorgirl. I think all of us here know what that feels like. I wake up every morning with a dense knotted feeling in my chest. But it gets better. Albeit slowly. It really is annoying that our brains and hearts seem to be completely isolated from each other in the heartache department. I understand that it's over. I think I accept it. But my heart travels on its own time schedule.
I'm sorry for you hurt. Please feel better.

Agree with you totally! WTF? There's no short cut is there?

IMO bad communication or lack thereof is the root cause of most problems
Re: Down & Out newts: I don't understand why they can't tell you such an important thing, maybe that is why he took you out to dinner, to tell you and he probably just couldn't do it.
At least you know now - I know it doesn't make it any easier, however, you now know that he doesn't want to try to work it out.
Re: Down & Out Tim4971: Sounds familiar G. The day before she told me, we had a massive family bar-b-que, and frineds too, people were saying how great we were togeteher and all that... I thought they were right too. The next day... the bombshell from hell. But I think she just did the barby cos we had had it planned. Such a shame when your friends and family love you so much as a couple then it ends. Families don't have to take sides, thats natural, but friends do. Has made things a bit awkward. But I suppose what I am really saying is if you haven't found out there is someone else involved yet, and you want it enough, then there is still a chance for you both. I am in the shit position of being cheated on (details on The Usual Story on the story page) if you want it enough, you can still do it. If you don't want it then really use this opportunity to drive yourself forward and go back out and find what you REALLY want. Unfortunately for me, I thought I had what I REALLY wanted.

I too agree with you all, totally! WTF is right! Some people can just snap out of it and others can't (like us). Maybe we're more sensative? Who knows. It just sucks to live under a gray cloud. We're are looking for the sunshine. Guess we just need more time. But it's hanging in there on a daily basis that's the challenge. I'm with you guys.
Ramsey, definately can relate to you exactly...
