When is it too soon? cheatedonagain: I have been separated since January. I am supposed to go out on a date this weekend....I'm so nervous! I haven't ever had to date my entire adult life! I was with my ex for 16 years. What if I like the guy and he doesn't like me.....I don't know how I will handle more rejection.

Re: When is it too soon? Chris: there's always the first date after divorce. just enjoy the company and the dinner/movie (whatever yall have planned) and just don't expect too much from it. just see it as getting to know new people.
Re: When is it too soon? superwife: Once you get past the first date, it gets easier. Then you'll nbever have to lie and say this is not your first date ever again. It's like being a nurse. You hate telling your first group of patients you have no experience. You only have to lie once!!!
