I think it always feels good to take charge of your life and head it in a positive direction, once you've figured out which way!
Just make sure the decree states he needs to pay you that back!

But I now feel like it's a small price to pay for that freedom. That one last final thread that's holding us together.

i didn't want to be the one to file....but he wasn't even close to starting the process...and i was tired of taking a back seat to all these major decisions being made about my life, so i did it myself.
it's a liberating feeling. you are taking control of your own destiny. it's well worth whatever money.
