Re: OK, This Is New yella: Spike, I think what you're feeling are the protective walls going up. It's a natural feeling to have once you've realized what's been happening to you over the past year or so. But you need to be careful that you don't make the mistake of pulling other people in then suddenly pull the rug out from under them.
Like promising the world, or lasting love while you feel as numb as you feel. You can cause real damage. Trust me, I know.
Just take your life one day at a time and focus on what you feel within. I think you'll be ok. You're a good man with a real heart.
