Re: I Hate Depression LostTeacher: depression is scary.
and it's especially scary when it runs in the family.
there have definately been times where i have been worried about that myself. thinking that i am falling into that. i try to deny it, but maybe that's part of my problem.
but mine is also about balance...and i am starting to find that balance this week. i am joining weight watchers, i am getting to the gym again, i am getting ready for school to start....there has to be something that i can do to get control of my situation.
i think that it's good for you to vent....it's your way of getting thru the situation. but i think that if the depression is real, and he is really suffering from it, you have to understand it a little. you don't have to feel sorry for him, or even want to help him at this point. it's just a good idea to know a little about it, for the sake of yourself and your kids.

Re: I Hate Depression Spazz: Thanks for the comments, they have made me feel better. I feel selfish for being angry but it doesn't stop the angry feelings.
We are working on understanding depression together with all other feelings put aside. Hard to let the other feeling take a backseat but for now it seems the right thing to do.
bluskygrl I believe nurture will kick natures ass! :D We will do what it takes to make better lives for our children!
You guys all rock!
I hope we all have a good day tomorrow!
Re: I Hate Depression icwtsmnl: hugs for Spazz. boy, do i know the need the vent pure anger and frustration. i write some pretty bad temper tantrums on here (and then delete some of them). but i'm glad you feel better today.
Re: I Hate Depression sneaker: Spazz,
I'm just wondering if your husband consulted a doctor about his condition. It could be a metabolism problem that creates a lack of serotonine. He could get medication for it. Also, ezydriver is right, a bad diet (including alchool) will make things worst. One thing is sure, he has to get help. This won't go away on its own. And you'll be stuck with this problem.
Good luck!
