I don't recommend approaching a guy with anything close to "I think your a nice guy and I'd like to talk to you sometime." Way too forward, and not necessary if the guy likes you anyway.
Instead, look him in the eye. Smile. Start a conversation... about anything. See how he responds. Try to guage his interest based on his body language. If he is not interested... NEXT. If he is interested, flirt. Instead of "can I buy you a drink?", I recommend "aren't I the type of girl you would buy a drink for?" It's better for him to chase you then for you to chase him.
But then again, what do I know? I'm 32 and never been married with no kids. Take my advice with a grain of salt.
