I agree with the rest of what you said - but here I don't. He USED to do all this stuff, too. If he dropped it now, she would think he had given up, too... not sure dropping the sweet stuff is a good thing at this point in time, unless she communicates that it bothers her...

on the one hand she wants our marriage to be like it was in the beginning of our marriage when we were friends and things were new but she has no idea on what the marriage councler can do to make that happen

if we get divorced

i bought her a candle with sea creatures in the wax and she thanked me for it
but maby i should just give her alot of space nothing like buying flowers or cards or gifts has helped my cause any
and hes x husband buys her nothing and she is in constant commuication with him
