Perfect ending to a perect weekend. superwife: I'm being sacrcastic (you know, like my screenname).
My daughter goes back to Dad yestarday. I get a call at 8pm. WHat I am expecting to hear "who the F are Spike and Goose??" :P ;D :o. But this is what I get: the whole lecture about the mosquito bites. I listened, said okay, yes, okay, let him speak his peace. believe me it wasn't that bad, but he needs to grasp at anything he can to make me look unfit.
So I decided to play his 'bad parent' game back at him.
2 weeks ago I realized I had no idea when the first day of school was, had no supply list etc (I guess that makes me a bad parent ???) I was expecting a packet in the mail. What I did not know was that on the last day of school, they were given this info (daddy picked her up on the last day, so he had it).
So I asked him when he was planning on letting me know about the school calendar. He didn't even realized he had the packet. He said to me, "I have the info, who said I have the info"... I told him "the principal told me when I asked him" :o. So he tries to go back to the bug bites and how important it is, so i repleid with how important it is that she is at school on the first day, in her appropriate uniform (which I know he has not purchased).
His reply? "Ok goodbye".
I can laugh about it now, but I was not then. I was far from laughing. But I had the support I needed to get me through it ;).
It just kills me, still. Why does he have to be like this?? I know why, but I still keep asking myself, when is he going to stop this? Why can't he just be civil? My daughter is in first grade. I can't deal with this for another 11 years.
But he knows he was wrong. Now he is probably making a mad search to find the paper work, and figure out how to purchase uniforms. Or...he could just talk to me about it, but that woukd mean admittig he is not perfect.
BTW, I got the papers I needed from another parent, so I am in the loop. Problem is, the first day of school is on his day. If she misses it, I will finally have to start getting tough (it's about time I do, right??)
At least I had an awesome weekend...
