meeting people on dating sites E: Hi everyone
I am sure this has been discussed a lot, but i haven't been on here in awhile! I've been single about a year - divorce not quite final yet. I did the online thing shortly after separating. I met someone really great - we had a wonderful connection, but it just wasn't meant to be - whole other story.
So about a month ago I kind of stumbled on a site and have kind of gotten back into it again. I have a 7 year old and I am a full time teacher so getting out to socialize isn't something I can do that often.
I recently started chatting with someone who I thought maybe I kind of liked. Anyway, I met him in person after a couple of weeks and he turned out to be absolutely nothing like I expected. So much different that I think that he posted a different picture of himself. I knew from the second I saw him that I didn't want to spend any time with him, but out of politeness I did. However, I came across as impolite anyway! And it wasn't just his looks, it was his personality as well.
So, my question is what do you do if you meet someone and you just don't like them? How do you deal with that? I e-mailed him a couple days later and said I am sure you are feeling the same, but we just didn't really click. He didn't really like that - felt he should be the one to say something. Well, I have had it with men having all the control. I guess it might be easier to wait and the say something - I really don't know. Thoughts anyone?
Re: meeting people on dating sites kitkat: Be polite, and let them know if you don't want their company again. After that you don't have to ever deal with them again.
Re: meeting people on dating sites toba: Hi E
I give you credit for being polite enough to write him an email and not just blow him off as many people tend to do from dating sites. Atleast you were honest with him and let him know there was nothing there and didnt' lead him on.......or worse, totally blow him off and wonder what happened. :D
Just my 2 cents :)
Good luck to you !

Poor controlling jack-a$$... The ball was not in his court :-\. I didn't know it was only the guys decision as to whether there is a connection or not. Sucks to be him.
Block him from your lists. This will likely not be the end of him, I'm sure.
