When I found the emails confirming my stbx's affair, I was floored by the things he wrote to her. Most of it very untrue. The best line ever was when he told her that I purposefully didn't tell him I was pregnant because I was waiting to use it later... Yeah, okay. He was freaking THERE when I found out I was pregnant. Dumb@ss.
They'll say what they need to say in order to look like the victim.

My STBX did that to me through all 4 affairs and I did beleive that it was all of my fault for the first three. It still hurts but I try to take comfort in knowing that I am not to blame for all of this.

I am here for you... DO you best to get through everyday, be strong for your kids and stand ground, no matter what it costs to make sure they are in your life as much as possible.... if you have been that participating father as a lot of the men here on OJAR, I say to fight tooth and nail, you can do just a good a job on your kids as she.... better yet you are the one with the values and morals, so they need the stability you have to offer not her!

Re: Finally, the truth!! momuv3: yep. Its the guilt. The blaming, the slander to family and friends and whoever will listen is all guilt. What is she going to say? "Well, my husband treated me great and loved our family, but I met this other guy and we are running off together." No, she has to paint you as the devil to make herself look and feel better. Its all lies and unfortunately people get caught up in drama. Just do your thing. Do right by your kids. And keep being the person not being sucked into the drama. I know its hard, but she wins when you react.
