Moving to Boise surfdog: Potentially making a move to Boise, ID from a beach town in Cali. Need some insider reviews as to what life is like there. How's the single life? Any insights would be helpful. Thanks!

I would be moving for a job at the University. My struggle is whether or not I can truly leave the ocean. I am a surfer and the ocean is my home, but I don't know if I can stay here because of the memories.

I am from So Cal and moved to No Cal years ago. From there, I moved to Boise 14 years ago and never looked back. I do however miss the oceans TERRIBLY but we are only an 8 hour drive to the Oregon Coast. It is a beautiful town. Night life can be much diff than Cali.....nothing like it at all. If you are going to be working at BSU, good luck. It can be a different place. If you care to know more, let me know.
I do love this town. It has the small town feel but is getting bigger. Hope all works out for you!
