Thanks...it's in my nature to obsess, unfortunately. (I think I've got a touch of anxiety disorder.) I get the impression I've internalized more of this than J has, which is unusual. (He says I've almost taken some of his burden in...which I've never really done before, or at least I've never been aware of.)
I don't think she was saying it to get under his skin -- not her way of pushing his buttons, and this has been on the table before -- but I honestly don't think she has the resources to push this as far as J can push back. It may very well poison the (relatively decent) co-parenting relationship they do have. And that's no good either.
