Re: He is driving me insane literally Lumpy: If he can't talk to you in a civil manner regarding the legal stuff I'd suggest cutting it off. Leave these discussions to the lawyers. It keeps things more impersonal between the two of you. Furthermore, take all the "my lawyer told me this or that" stuff with a grain of salt. He may be exaggerating or his lawyer may be selling him a load of horsecrap. Find a divorce lawyer who you can trust and let him/her take the reins.
Re: He is driving me insane literally doctorjoel: I agree with what everyone else has said here. You are going to have to find legal help to get through this, and then leave all of the direct negotations to the experts. You cannot rely on what what he says or what he says his attorney says, because it may not be true or may not be right. And don't agree to anything by yourself.
It seems to me that he is being emotionally abusive to you while you are very vulnerable and torn up by the separation. It hurts you a lot and you don't deserve it.
