Re: Worst girlfriend ever, shortest relationship, HARDEST breakup. jannette Garcia: EZ....I had that happen to me once, it was a very short relationship (4 months) and to this day I can't find anything good to say about him, except that he was handsome......and I think that the reason why I was so depressed was because, he started seeing someone as soon as we started having problems, and then it was like I couldnt have him, and for some reason, I think it's human nature, to want what you can have. But when you think of how bad it would've been if we stayed together, and once you get that through your head, you'll be fine......
Re: Worst girlfriend ever, shortest relationship, HARDEST breakup. jannette Garcia: Well to get completely over him it took me about 2 years (long I know) But I wasnt miserable those two years, I was out dating, but I know after 2 years I no longer had feelings for him. It took me a few months to be okay with the fact that it was over. I was devastated for maybe a few weeks, I was really busy with school so I really didnt have a choice but to go on. I was really really into him. But he wasnt for me. I'm a very affectionate person. I like to hold hands and cuddle etc. He was cold, he still is, I still talk to him. And that's just how he is, it wasnt me, I'm friends with an ex of his, and he's just a cold person at heart I guess.
But you'll get over it. It takes time. As for being devastated, it'll go away fast. Then you still wont be over her, but you'll be able to start dating again. You just have to come to terms with what happened, and just realize she wasnt good for you.

I am a relationship kinda person too, but if I didnt go out and meet new people I was never going to get over him. That's what worked for me. It might not necesarily work for you.
And you're right she doesnt deserve at all your feelings or affections. But that's not something you can change, it is out of your control. You will have some kind of feeling for her. Maybe you'll end up feeling sorry for her because of the way she is. It wont get her anywhere. And maybe she just did you a favor by cheating on you. Because you never got married and had to deal with her cheating on you, it is a good thing you found out now.
