Re: I Give Up td7629: It is truly unfair what you are going through. Is there any way to try to contact the courts and ask them what you can do legally since you can not afford an attorney?

To be honest, I don't even have enough money to fight this. SHE is getting FREE laywer service via a friend of the OM.

it only lasts so long... if that is the case, you will lose your kids... do you want that...
is it fair you walk away paying everything, what about the house, do you have a house? how about selling that... she'll be in a real pickle then, won't she... waht about family, can't anyone help?
Re: I Give Up Fendann: There is always a way....ALWAYS. Your kids need you to fight for them. You know it....everyone here knows it. Do not give up!
Besides, lawyers will work with your finances. If you can't pay them right now, they will work with you so you can pay it later.
Re: I Give Up confused101: Man I have sooo been there, I had to move back in with my parents for a couple of months after my divorced. That sucked even worse. There have been days I've just felt like leaving all my stuff behind and heading to the Rockies and getting a pet grizzly bear and living in the wild.
The good news is, you'll pull out of it. They can't pin you down forever.
Re: I Give Up big_daddy: My heart goes out to you BDAD. You are one of the good guys.
I don't have any profound wisdom to offer, no assurance that everything is going to turn out how you want it to.
But...you are a good father, and your children love you. There is no fairness in this situation, there is no justification...it just isn't right.
Keep being the man that you are, and karma will find a way to repay you eventually.
If you ever need an ear my friend, ever....just let me know.
