Birthday coming up
.

Birthday coming up christincali: My x's bday is coming up in less than a week.  I have had no contact with him since we broke up (sept. 4).  we were together 2.5 years.  Do I send a bday card, ecard, or anything?  I do not want to be cold (we did not end on bad terms just problems where his parents rined our relationship and his) (he still does not talk to his parents either as far as I know) and yet I do not want to break contact
Re: Birthday coming up wally188: tough call. I dont think a card would be wrong just keep it short and simple. No long messages.

Re: Birthday coming up lonley25: hey i just wanted to say that i know what ya mean.my husband left me two weeks ago and his bday is today but we also share a daughter.i was trying to decide what to do also.it wouldnt hurt to try.i bought him a card and put it from our daughter.
Re: Birthday coming up ace1234: Hey,
I don't think a card would be a bad idea.  I think my wife forgot our 'anniversary' this past summer and I have a birthday coming up in the next couple of weeks and wouldn't be surprised if that is forgotten too.
But, I guess that's why we have friends and family, they always remember.
This b-day is going to be tough, but that's life...
Good luck!

Re: Birthday coming up christincali: Thanks everyone it has been a tough call.  I figured something simple like I would give a friend nothing mushy maybe funny.  Just saying hope you enjoy your birthday.  It has been tough because I know there is no one else.  I know he loves me and it all his parents, they have ruined his life. (not mine)  Because of them he is a very depressed person and I sometimes worry about him.  So I guess where he has no family at this point it would be nice to know even though it did not work out I still care.
