Two interesting stories... surprised: Not my stories. I read the first one of the internet...
1: A bride found out her husband to be was cheating on her, so she called off the wedding. But when she found out she wouldn't be able to get her money back for the hall or the caterer, she decided to throw a charity benefit. She invited a bunch of women and charged like $10 a head, and donated all the money to charity.
2: My friend told me this one. A man suspected his soon to be wife was cheating, so he hired a private detective. He got photographic proof that she was cheating, with the best man, no less. So he went through with the wedding. At the reception, he stood up and made a little speech. He said, I'd like to thank everyone for coming, you have no idea what it means to me. To say thank you, I got each of you a special gift, if you'll all reach under your chair, you'll find a manila envelope, if you'll open it up, you'll find a gift. Well, it was, of course, the photographic proof. So after all that, he annulled his marriage and took the two week honeymoon to Hawaii.
Different takes on getting jilted. I though you all might find those interesting and/or amusing.
Re: Two interesting stories... idocsteve: The second story is an urban legend, the first one is probably a legend also.
Re: Two interesting stories... bluskygrl: There is a great site to check out stories that are urban legends - though I don't doubt someone has done something very similar for real before.
