Re: Yea, it's Sunday..... Fendann: No, I didn't talk to her other than the 1am call. Turned the ringer off on my phone (since she knows the house phone number), but the thoughts were still in my head all night long....I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, thoughts racing in my mind....then I see the light blinking..."new call", it says.....It doesn't matter if I turned the ringer off, the phone off, or threw the thing into the trash...the thought was there and the damage was already done at 1am...
She just called me a minute ago to ask how the kids were...said they were OK. Then she feels as if I need to know how good Dennis was....yea, my day is soooo much better now...
Re: Yea, it's Sunday..... Fendann: Gonna go get the kids dressed and try to go to the park or something...maybe I can get my mind off of things....
Re: Yea, it's Sunday..... yella: You need to keep the calls to kid business only. Simply and firmly tell her that you won't talk to her about her personal stuff. Lay down the law.
Next time, turn the ringer off, and hide the phone under a pillow so you don't hear or see it.
Re: Yea, it's Sunday..... Fendann: I know what you're all talking about, but the damage was done at 1am....Yes, I should have asked her if it was an emergency, but I didn't...Once she said she was out having a good time with a different OM, it hit me like a sack of bricks...you can't just turn something like that off. Even if she didn't call again after that, I would have been up all night thinking the same thing.
When I drop the kids off this evening, it's going to be all business...that's how I plan on things going, anyhow...we'll have to wait and see.
...my god, I'm so damn lonely....

Ask her within the first 3 seconds of the phone call what the emergency is, if there isn't one, hang up!!! Maybe that will send her a message. ???

Exactly. I understand that you want to keep the lines of communication open regarding the kids but it doesn't sound like this involved the children.
