I found a breed of dog I really want! Alphabet Girl: I've been looking into getting a new dog for the kiddos this Christmas and I found two breeds I just fell in love with - a Labradoodle and a Goldendoodle. They are labs and goldens bred with poodles so they get curly hair and don't shed as much. They are so cute!!!!
My brother has had goldens which I always loved and I used to have a lab, but it shed all over the place. This would be the perfect combo.

When I can get another dog I want a Canaan dog or a Jindo but both are sooo hard to find.
OR a Wheaton ( which look a lot like the pics you posted AND they dont shed!!!) They are easier to find and so freakin cute.
But all dogs rule.

I want a medium sized dog. I'd prefer only minimal shedding, but of course, that's kind of impossible because hey, we're talking dogs here. :)
What I am running into is most rescue organizations and animal shelters that I am finding online will either rule me out for one of these reasons - I don't have a recommendation from a vet to show I was a previous dog owner (my old vets wouldn't even know me, I bet), my kids are under 7 - or some said 6 which would still eliminate me, and/or I work during the day. That's disappointing because I always thought I'd like to get a dog that way one day...So I'm looking into some breeders now as other options.
This may be impossible to time just right at Christmas, but that would be fun!
