when do you know its really over in your heart sarao525: I am having a hard time letting go of my stbx in my heart. There are days when all I want to do is call him and talk, but then there are days when I want someone who deserves what I have to offer. He has been in my life for 11 years, 9 married. I don't know if it is just bad habit to love, or if it is God trying to tell me to hang on. I know God is protecting me in a way from the damage the stbx has caused himself, but when can I finally realize it is over.

Been there Sarao. I would lay in bed at nights and ask God for a sign, then the next day when I was remembering a dream I thought OK, is this your sign. I'd bargin with myself, okay if this happens I meant to stay with him.
It takes time for your head and heart to communicate and to work together. We can make up all the excuses in the world when we are lonely and make ourselves believe maybe we should stay.
I found it was smarter to listen to the brain and not the heart.

Re:when do you know its really over in your heart sarao525: I have to let the boys go to their dad's this weekend. I know my stbx loves the boys, but they are not always his priority right now. He frequently calls to cancel his visitation with them.
I wish either he would try to come back, or leave us alone. At least for a while. I wish I culd learn to forgive him and get on with my life. I am so tired of being alone.

But, we have to listen to the brain.
Just keep reminding yourself that you deserve better. We all do. :)

I got the boys off for the weekend. I feel great about it. I didn't cry in front of him , but i did cry on my way to work out.
