Need advice tonight: SO PISSED incoherentlonghorn: My ahole s2bx who got canned a few weeks back and let my son watch rated M xbox games has pulled the third stunt for the week. He is having a garage sale to pay our mortgage payment. Fine.

He won't take any of my money because then I could very easily take the house from him, so he is HOCKING my SON'S TOYS! I'm fairly certain since he needs much dinero that means my sofa (which I want - he can have the new leather one), maybe the sleighbed. Either of those I can deal with...but toys our son has NOT outgrown is really making me mad.

The divorce decree specifically states that anything in our possession must remain there until the divorce is finalized.

I AM SO MAD. What kind of father hocks his kids toys, even if the kid has way too many.

I am tempted to drop by with a camera tomorrow. I can call and confront him (my son told me to ask daddy to not sell his tool bench, etc.). AAARRRGGGGGGGGGGGG. But his father will completely go off. Should I call or just replace the toys?
Re:Need advice tonight: SO PISSED pkb1300: I don't have any kids and so take this as you will. IMO call and tell him what you think/feel and if that doesn't work, go with the camera (video or otherwise) and document everything that he's selling. You'll need the proof for court and it's very hard to argue with video/photos. Best of luck and keep your chin up :)

PKB

Re:Need advice tonight: SO PISSED picadilly: D'oh, SOB. All I can say about him.

Chin up, I think PBK is right, take a camera & a friend if you can. FIrst ask him politely & tell him what not to sell. If he doesn't care, then pull back... wait outside his property line with your camera, whatever he sells, take pictures of it as they are leaving. You can't really stop him from doing what he wants, even if it isn't legal. Not untill after he does it... ya, love the way the law works.

Best of luck to you & best wishes LL... as always.
Re:Need advice tonight: SO PISSED Lumpy: OMG LL,

I can't believe the level of insensitivity this A-hole shows to his son! Take video, call your lawyer, alert the authorities, whatever it takes! Nail his sac to the wall. He deserves nothing less. I'm sorry you have to still deal with this short-sighted idiot! Call out the dogs and get your son something nice. (No M rated X-box though!!) Stay strong.
Re:Need advice tonight: SO PISSED Discarded: Get law enforcement out there, they will document the "disturbance" and show the the divorce decree.

They may stop it based on the decree if it was/is written up within the restraining orders portion of the decree if not it will be documented by them and you have the camera pictures/video of it on top of that.

Unfortunately you can't get blood from a turnip. Maybe you can recoup some of the loss in other ways though. Judge isn't gonna give your ex too much leaway pulling stunts like this though.
