Re:First Post, My Wife wants to seperate JustMe: MRMR
There are two sides here that I want you to consider.
Emotionally, most people want to move out (or eject the other person). Either way, staying under the same roof with their stbx ends up damaging most people as my fellow Ojar posters have said, and I agree.
Legally, make sure you that when you move out, that you get the advice of an attorney. I left after my wife struck me on Mothers Day. She was a surigcal nurse and was found of bringing surgical instruments home. To leave was the easy and the safe thing to do.
But it was impossible to return. After 3 months, involving the police, and thousands in lawyers' fees, I still don't have my personal property. My stbx wife has filed for me to pay the entire mortgage while she lives in the house while removing my property. All of this stems from my "abandoning" the house.
Granted, your situation may not be as severe, but do protect your legal rights as well as your emotional well-being.
I'm not a lawyer, so I'm not giving you legal advice. Do seek a lawyer's assistance before you act if possible.

Re:First Post, My Wife wants to seperate MRMR: Hi ALL,
I am back in Ireland now and I feel like my whole heart has been taken away.
I am so devastated by what has happened.
When does the pain stop?
so heartbroken.

Re:First Post, My Wife wants to seperate Safetykc: Hey Martin,
Greetings to you way over there on the Green Isle....
hmmm tough question. The pain and heartbreak is something we all work through my man. There are no answers here on how to not feel the pain of a marriage dissolving.
It is a painful hurtful thing. Probably one of the worst you will experience in this life. The only advice I can give is reconnect with friends and family there. Try to go out and take pleasure in lifes joys. Go to the park, have a beer in the pub, play some darts.
Just live your life and the pain will get less and less eventually until one day it is gone...That's not to say it isn't going to get s sh!tload worse before you turn that corner.
But from someone who has come out through the other side of that tunnell, it DOES get better.
Promise...
Stay Strong,
Safety
