Do women take it harder?
.

Do women take it harder? ezydriver: In general, generally speaking, do women have a harder time dealing with breakups than men? Do they feel pain more profoundly?
It sort of seems that they hurt just a bit more. I could be wrong, which is why I'm asking on here. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Regards.
Re: Do women take it harder? Beren: I've read that the male suicide rate spikes to nine times the female rate during the first two years after a divorce.  So, no, I don't think women take it harder.

Re: Do women take it harder? Fjord Girl: I think that more than taking it harder, we're simply more capable of expressing how we feel than men do, so that gives people the idea that it's harder for us.

What Beren addressed (suicide rates) is probably because of some men's inability to exteriorize what they go through and its getting overwhelming.

Just my thoughts.
Re: Do women take it harder? allilm: And if there are children involved, the odds are higher that the woman gets them, and then they might need a place to vent about the stresses of single parenthood.

Nicely said, FG! I was thinking the same exact thing.

On the other hand, I don't think one gender takes harder than the other. I believe that it's all in how it's expressed, if it's expressed. Heartbreak is heartbreak no matter who feels it.
