Re: Becoming a firefighter allilm: I saw this girl a couple years ago, who had just started the process of becoming a fire fighter.  She was a descent height and thin.  Then I saw her a couple months ago and she totally looks like a female body builder.  So if that's not necessarily your thing, be careful before you get sucked into the world of weights.  Seriously she's huge now, all giant muscles.

[/quote"> EWW, I don't wanna look like that. I wanna get my figure into a tight shape and tone myself really well, but I don't know about all that body builder stuff. I'm joining a gym this weekend and I'm gonna start doing some weight training (juggernaut advised me on that one :))
and also I'm gonna start running and get my legs into shape. That's about it for now. The exam for becoming an EMS doesn't come up until next year, but I'm thinking of applying for it as well.

She had "help" if ya know what I mean. Women don't get giant muscles unless they have a little of "Bond's special cream".

Just make sure you are doing strength/endurance training with cardio. Tons of places on the web to get tips on that goal.
