the guardian EssieDotCom: okay i'm not big of military movies; never have been. but even in my doubt to go see this, I went along with friends who wanted to see it. I must say.....ashton Kutcher is one fine man in uniform! not to mention the scene with him in the shower phewwwww weeee. I love men in uniform. Having been in the military myself I noticed that there were a lot of the "things" you just dont do in real military, like drinking and "kissing heavily" in uniform.  But it also reminded me of bootcamp, the "A school" portion of the movie. The PT, the pool, all very familar aspects of  my bootcamp experience. At one point i was hurting b/c i remembered some of those "drills" and the phrase "D.O.C." gives me chills *Drop on command*.  The story line was well written and it keeps your attention. although I cried because Keven Costner's character was going through some of the same things i've felt; well his wife was.  He'd made the military his life, and all she ever wanted was for him to give her as much time as he'd put into his work. So I cried; they seperated, then divorced *giving away a lil of the story sorry" In the end he gave up the military but sadly it was not for her it was because he didn't think he could do it anymore.  Which tears me up as well.  All in all th is movie will make you laugh, cry, and question a lot of things about life in general.  Will you make you career your life our live a life outside of that?  Moral questions; awww movies will do that to you sometimes ;)
