I too have a son, the angel who pushed me through everything, my sole motivation. I too dealt with the booze, and the late nights, the mysterious callers etc. etc. I was pregnant, when my ex had what I then too thought was a mid life crisis. I entertained the thought of moving out myself, however I was fortunate and lucky enough to have people behind me who showed me how to buy my house from him, I gained my independance that way.
Keep your chin up, take care of your angel, and most importantly yourself!
