Update on the new life Spectrum: It just goes to show.... You can lead a horse to to water......
Things in the new home are terrific. My job is everything I hoped it would be- daily lessons on horse handling, riding, horse care, farm life, the works.
I'm down a half-size in clothes from when I arrive, my old-lady arms are a thing of the past, and I can hurl 30-40 bails of hay a few yards at a time before the daily knot in my shoulder starts to complain.
Yesterday I got whacked full in the face by a three-year-old filly that zapped herself on the electric gate as I was unhooking it... I have a really fancy fat lip (read: internally shredded) to show for it, but it'll heal in a day or two. I just missed getting double-barrel kicked by a pissed off thoroughbred yesterday, but managed to shock the he!! out of him for his trouble by throwing an empty bucket at him point-blank.
Last week I got bitten in the back by a crabby, overly-pregnant broodmare, but was rewarded the next day with the world's shortest-ever foal watch (approx. 1 hour.... as opposed to the usual several days).
In short.... everything is great with 90% of my life, and I'm loving it!! It was worth every minute of the cross-country drive.
The 10%? Just found out yesterday the ex is getting back together with the OW. Freaking moron. I know it must seem so obvious to him to run to a woman who is freakishly needy, possessive and lacking in self-esteem, but gosh darn it- I just don't get it.
I'm lacking in internet access at home right now, hence my long absence. I'm at the public library at the moment. Hopefully I'll get the home connection set up soon.

Missed you, lady. I knew you moved & figured that’s why you hadn’t been on Ojar recently, nice to know your still in one piece more or less. :P Soon you’ll be a horse whisperer… though I’m sure it’s hard to whisper with a fat lip. Ok, keep your head away from any stray hoofs & good luck on that new life you’ve always wanted.
PS… stop paying attention to what the ex is doing. He’s messed up & there is nothing you can really do about it.

Glad to hear that your new career is everything you'd hoped.(Fat Lips Notwithstanding!) Gotta agree with Pic about the ex. Their actions are always going to leave us upset and puzzled. Just try and remove yourself from the insanity and enjoy your new life. Stay Sane and away from those equine backkicks!

Don't worry about your ex. It is not your problem anymore to take care of him...i am just starting to realize that. You need to live for you now and take care of you and do things that make you happy. He can worry about himself.
