Why Me?
.

Why Me? Tessa: I went out to dinner with my cousins tonight. My one cousin is married. He is a year younger than me. He was married a month before I was. Well he is still married. They have been married for over a year now. He is so loving toward his wife and so sweet. He kept waiting on her hand and foot. I couldn't believe it. I thought after being married a year they wouldn't be like that anymore. *sigh*
All I could think all evening was why couldn't I have had a great marriage like that? ??? Why couldn't I have found a man that deeply loved me? It is really nice to know that some people can have that amazing kind of love. I just wish I was one of them. :( I wish the whole world could be like that.
Thanks for reading. I just needed to get that off my chest.
Re:Why Me? Safetykc: Tessa,

Try to take hope from what you saw tonight...I know the why me's are so hard to answer...sometimes life just happens while we are too busy focusing on the future.

My marriage broke up 2 weeks before my first anniversary so like you I had a lot of the why me questions....Instead think about what you can do differently next time to make sure you are never in the same situation again...does that mean dating longer...or looking for different qualities in a partner? only you can answer those questions and they don't have to be answered today.

Instead of focusing on why did this happen to me, think about what you want in a partner and what kind of relationship you want going forward, and that you are now free to find that!

But until then, take care and big hugs!!!

Safety

Re:Why Me? picadilly: Why me. boy, I haven't thought that in a while. is that good or bad? :P

My buddy & his wife gave birth to a really cute baby boy a few months back & that was back when I asked alot of "why not me?"s. It's never going to get any easier but the why me's will come to you less frequently.

As Safety said, you have a chance now to find a new man that will treat you with the love & the respect you deserve. Atleast now you have a bar & standard with which to judge a good man with.

Trust me... we're out there. :)

Peace & love to you.
Re:Why Me? ChrisJane: Listen to those two, both Safetykc and Pic have given me tons of advice this past year.

I still have the why me's. Pic said it best now you know how to judge a GOOD Man. Don't let the smooth talking dudes have their chance beleive me.

Okay, I'll take Pic's advice.

Hang in there, there will be good days and then the Why me's will mean Why did I marry him ;)

We're here if you need us.

Re:Why Me? Tessa: Thanks everyone.

I know I am not ready to date yet. I do fear that I will never find a great guy. I have always attracted the wrong kind of guys. My x was my one and only relationship too.

Right now my plan is to just focus on me. I haven't been able to do that for the past 7 years. So, I am going to take advantage of it.

Wish me luck.
