Re:I'm flirt impared Discarded: Funny thing is I recognize body language, it's my job to recognize it. I've actually been trained to recognize it. I don't think they trained me to recognize flirting though. I actually also looked it up on the internet and funny thing is I see it all the time, but I don't recognize it as Flirting. I know when someone is open or closed, hiding something, lying, and what areas of the brain they are accessing when talking to me. There are entire manuals on body language, but all of it I've used was job related and not for the purposes of flirting.
I'll just have to start getting into that frame of mind when out and about I guess so I'll start recognizing it and seeing it. When on the job I tend to change my frame of mind so I'm actively looking for the body language and recognize it's meaning.
Re:I'm flirt impared ChrisJane: All else fails, smile and say "Are you flirting with me?" ;)
Hey this could be your pick up line!
I'm flirt challenged ayne: That's a good way to put it - "flirt impaired".
Actually for me it’s more of being "flirt challenged” when it comes to me flirting with guys. My problem is that I’m not sure where the line is between friendly flirting and “Hey I’m looking to date” flirting. I’m friendly by nature, smile easily and have a good sense of humor, but I don’t know how to give that “Come here big fella” look.

Re:I'm flirt impared twetifb: All of you are way too funny! This post was definitely fun to read! Well, I'm sorry for you flirt impared types but it's got to be better than coming off as a flirt ALL the time. I have no idea what it is but people are ALWAYS mistaking my small talk for flirting. I think it's because I'm a smilely, bubbly person...but that's no excuse. :)I'd definitely rather be impared than misunderstood!
