Re:I need help olepiney: Can the courts make her or require her to go to counseling? My lawyer asked me is I was willing to take a polygraph, which I'm all for. I just wish she could see what really happened. I don't think being away from me is gonna give her peace. :'(

I hurt so much!
Re:I need help ChrisJane: From a woman's standpoint, she's hurt and betrayed. Even though you say your emails were lies, there was nothing there, you opted to tell another woman how much you cared for her. You have got to realize how much she hurts.

Now she wonders how many others? Will there be more? If one of your email friends wants more would you? Instead of setting her heart up to be ripped out again she took the divorce route. I ts easier to forgive then to forget. She might forgive you for betraying her but it will always eating away at her.

Some states/counties require counseling before a divorce can be granted. Your attorney should be able to tell you if it is required in your case.

All you can do is work on the TRUST issues. Honesty!

Re:I need help olepiney: Maybe I loved her more than she loved me. I just need it to end. Pray for me.
Re:I need help DOC: Olepiney, I just prayed for all of us and our great pain. I pray that those of us who need forgiveness from our mate will one day get it and that one day the love will be restored to our relationship.
Re:I need help lostinspace: olepiney,

I am sorry to hear about what is going on in your life but will keep you in my prayers.

May I suggest something? Could it be that your wife was looking for a way out of the marriage and when she found this email it gave her the ability to leave on those grounds? Our lives are not just moment or a single mistake but the sum of those moments. My guess is that her intension was to leave at some point but she was just looking for an excuse. It sounds as though you are a Christian, and in the case of Christians divorcing she might have been looking for that biblical reason, however stretched it may seem. When justification is needed, however small or large the mistake some choose to leave when the opportunity arises. Only, the path that they choose will not bring them happiness as they surely find. (1 Corithians 7)

I say all of the above only to put your mind at rest. We all make mistakes and lack judgment in our life. The key is to learn and change. My hope for you is that you find peace in the mist of the storm. Read Psalm 121.

God can do anything! He made the heavens and the earth and can influence the hearts of Kings and rulers. Surely he can help you! I will agree with you in prayer for that. Hurts like this turned into opportunity can create a lasting change in you that can reach past what you see in your life. Believe me; a year later for me has created a new person, with new skin, with new hopes, and a foundation for future storms.

God Bless
